The compact footprint and relative light weight of the CU15
easily make it a first choice for front-of-house applications also as a drum monitor, side fill, front fill and down fill, or virtually any situation where concert-quality sound reinforcement is required. In addition, sonic clarity and smooth frequency response also make the CU15
a great choice for recorded music playback applications. Even with the most demanding recorded programs, the CU15
has the high fidelity to put it on par with some of the best studio reference monitors. But unlike traditional reference monitors, the CU15
is capable of producing extremely high sound pressure levels from its high-efficiency 800-Watt, 4 ohm format, all with sparkling clarity.

The CU15
comes with an advanced passive crossover for plug-and-play convenience, however it can be easily bi-amplified by way of a switch on the rear jack panel and the optional UP15
Unity?processor. The UP15
is designed specifically to optimize the CU15
뭩 sonic characteristics and to ensure trouble free bi-amp operation, with or without a Unity or ?ite series subwoofer for extended low frequency support.

The cabinet's trapezoidal shape was designed with multi-box, tight-packed arraying in mind. As well, due to the nature of the conical horn, the polar pattern remains quite constant on all axis, making it ideal for use upright or on its?side, with no need to rotate the horn.

To further facilitate installation of the CU15
in virtually any application, we also offer the FH1W
flying hardware which can be used to fly cabinets in clusters of two or three box arrays.

The Unity CU15
enclosure is entirely constructed of solid 15mm 11-ply birch finished in durable white paint, designed to be painted over as you desire. It also features a heavy-gauge perforated metal grille to protect the components. Multiple reinforced flypoints make it extremely easy to install on any angle, hung as a single cabinet or in an array.

Coliseum Series Overview

 After years of experience with enclosure design, it was logical for Yorkville to apply its knowledge to the design of a range of speaker cabinets that have been specifically designed for installation purposes. The knowledge that we gained while developing the TX, ?ite, Pulse and Performance series enclosures was applied to yield a series of practical yet cost effective installation enclosures. The combination of custom designed woofers and compression drivers mounted on Yorkville's exclusive ABS horns, and less complex crossover networks has proven to be an excellent compromise between performance and price.

All Canadian-made Coliseum series enclosures are constructed of highly rigid 15mm (.59") Baltic Birch plywood. Although the standard, rugged white epoxy finish is clean and attractive, all Coliseum series enclosures are also available by special order in Black Ultrathane paint (significant delivery times may apply). Their trapezoidal shape is conducive to array mounting and minimizes lobing difficulties. Flypoints are steel reinforced and engineered to allow easy, flexible and safe enclosure suspension.

All enclosures and grilles can be easily refinished and feature a grille clip attachment system for easy removal and recovering. Painstaking attention to design details is evident by features such as the safety screw hidden under the embossed Yorkville logo, which ensures that the grille does not inadvertently come loose.
